Abyss Dive Center is known for its commitment to the protection of the marine environment, particularly through its partnership with Trash Hero Amed Bali.
Trash Hero is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to fight against marine pollution by organising beach and seabed clean-up initiatives. Abyss Dive Center collaborates with this organisation by organising regular beach clean-ups and waste collections, in which the dive centre’s clients participate.
This organisation has been active since 2016 and was created by a group of local volunteers concerned about the increasing marine pollution in their area.
In addition to its clean-up actions, Trash Hero Amed Bali conducts awareness campaigns to encourage local residents and visitors to adopt more environmentally friendly practices, such as reducing the consumption of single-use plastic and responsible waste management.
The association also works closely with local authorities to establish effective waste management infrastructure and recycling systems in the Amed area.
In addition to its clean-up efforts, Abyss Dive Center encourages its guests to adopt environmentally responsible practices, providing them with information on how to minimize their impact on the marine environment while diving. The dive centre also ensures that its own activities do not harm the environment by using environmentally friendly products and by educating its clients on the need to respect marine ecosystems.
In short, Abyss Dive Center actively contributes to the preservation of Bali’s natural resources and the fight against marine pollution.
